Microsoft Windows™ 95/98 Setup

Following these instructions,  you should be able to configure your Windows 95/98 Operating System to work with iQuickNet.com

Windows 95/98 Setup Manual Walkthrough

1) Open up "My Computer" on your desktop.

2) Open "Dial-Up Networking".

3) Then open "Make New Connection".

4) Type in any name you want for the connection name, select your modem (make sure the proper modem is selected) and select Next.

5) Type in the phone number on our location list that you will be utilizing, click Next, and then Finish.

This will create a new icon in the "Dial-Up Networking" window.

6) Right mouse click on the new connection icon and click on Properties.

7) On the "General" tab, make sure the "Use country and area code" box is unchecked.  Also make sure you have entered the area code, if necessary in your calling area.  In some locations which require 10 digit dialing, such as Maryland, we have found it best to enter the area code as part of the telephone number (e.g. 301-436-0566), and not put the area code in the "Area code" box.

8) Select the "Server Types" tab and make it look like this by selecting and deselecting the necessary boxes.

9) Click on the "TCP/IP Settings" button and make sure it looks like this. Then click OK.

If you have a fixed or static IP address, click on "Specify an IP address" and type the address in the four boxes to the right.  Your IP address will look something like this:  64.123.307.055   Your numbers will actually be different.

If you have a fixed or static IP address, click on "Specify name server addresses".  Make the following entries:
bullet Primary DNS:  216.127.139.170
bullet Secondary DNS:  216.127.143.202

10) Click on OK.
